  • Footsteps coming in/out of Assembly.
  • Smell
  • Collective smell of different deodorants, perfumes, shampoos etc.
  • Touch
  • Sitting close to other people: if sitting on the floor, there is no physical boundary, so others tend to accidentally nudge or lean on the person beside them.
  • Standing/walking in line when entering and leaving Assembly: may cause accidental nudges and bumping into each other.
  • Vestibular/Movement
  • Sitting and standing for duration of Assembly can be difficult for those with limited postural control and strength:
    • May become fidgety
    • May lean on others around them for support
    • May try to lean against a wall
    • May sit down (when expected to stand), or lie across floor (when expected to sit)
    • Impact on attention
